Yeah! One whole day behind me on my journey to get healthy. It was a great food day yesterday - I did it. I can do it! I am motivated and happy that I followed my plan and made my goal to get started on my weight loss journey, once again.
Slowly but surely I will succeed. It will be one day at a time. This first week will be hard to get over the cravings for sugar. I have stocked my fridge full of baggies of vegetables to grab, fruit, baked skinless chicken breasts, Jello 60 cal pudding, 100 cal microwave popcorn, Also another favorite of mine is 25 cal hot chocolate - it really takes the edge off for me... Those are the things I can grab if I get hungry and need munchies.
Oh, there is another yummy treat I make for 96 calories:
1 medium apple
1/2 teaspoon splenda
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Dice apple and place in microwave safe bowl, sprinkle splenda and cinnamon on, cover and microwave for 2 1/2 minute (or more to your liking). It tastes like apple pie. It helps take the edge of the late night snacking with this treat. You will like it.
I'm on day 2... I am working on a mini-streak... How many days can I keep my food in control in a row with no cheating. I KNOW I can make it through today too... I can do it!

You CAN do it!
Manga Dork and I watched Biggest Loser's premiere last night. It reenergized our motivation!
Good for you!
We should all share our favorite healthy snack foods huh?
Oooh! I love the apple "treat." It sounds wonderful. I'll try it today. Thanks. And congrats on a day well lived!
What about having a 'free' meal once a week? Brandon does this and it really helps him to keep going if he knows the free meal is right around the corner.
However you do it, planning is the key.
Great recipe with the apple. Good luck with all the healthy eating. I discovered last year just how filling salads are--and I was amazed that I didn't feel hungry for at least 4 hours!
And if you're interested in frugal living, there's a new book contest running on my blog this week. It's a good one :-)
