I was walking home from school on a cold winter's day
Took a shortcut through the woods and I lost my way
It was getting late and I was scared and alone
Then a kind old man took my hand and led me home
Mama couldn't see him, but he was standing there
But I knew in my heart, he was the answer to my prayers
Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
When life dealt troubled times and had me down on my knees
There's always been someone there to come along and comfort me
A kind word from a stranger to lend a helping hand
A phone call from a friend just to say I understand
Ain't it kind of funny at the dark end of the road
Someone lights the way with just a single ray of hope
Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
They wear so many faces
Show up in the strangest places
Grace us with their mercy
In our time of need
Oh I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live
To teach us how to give
To guide us with a light of love
Thanks to those Angels who graced our family with their love.

Amen! Amen!
Sondra.. most of us do have a hard time humbling ourselves to accept things.. but I learned a great lesson years ago when my Grandpa Wright was dying.
He was always the one to serve. He always helped everyone in need.. and he was known for that.
He suffered the last months of his life greatly.. and kept begging the Lord to Die. He would gather his children and beg them to also let him go-- and not pray to keep him there.
Well.. he received a priesthood blessing.. and in it.. it said that his last test in life was to indeed humble himself and accept service. He was waited on by all 12 of his children.. and some of his Grandchildren. He had to be fed.. changed.. and waited upon.
This was an EXTREMELY valuable lesson to me of not being prideful.. but indeed accepting help. I now think.. that maybe if I accept help.. no one will have to change me in the future. :p
So very grateful you were served.

I absolutely love that song - it makes me cry every time I hear it because it is so true!
I am glad that some angels found you last night :D
How nice that you were the recipient of something special. The "angel" will be blessed for her/his generosity! So you've given back already!
Have a wonderful day!
That is so fun and nice to receive an anonymous gift. Enjoy it and then make sure you pay it forward! At least, that's my philosophy.
I'm CERTAIN there are angels among us. I'm so glad your's take such good care of you!
