BarDee Jensen Jensen (1924 - 2011)

My brother in-law Kelly's mother passed away last week. She was a wonderful lady. I'm glad she was able to return home and see her dear husband again.

I love what my niece Zoey Michelle said on her facebook: 'Graduation ceremony' for my grandma was wonderful today! She is now with Grandpa and so many others in a much better place without pain. Happy day!

BarDee Jensen Jensen (1924 - 2011)

PRESTON - BarDee Jensen Jensen, 86, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011, at Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho. She was born June 5, 1924, in Glendale, Idaho, to Oleen Alder Jensen and Ellen Clayton Porter. She married Keith Eugene Jensen on June 25, 1942, in the Logan LDS Temple.

She enjoyed working with her husband at the Premium Oil Co. until he retired in 1998. She loved to visit the people at the service station. It was always full of friends. She also worked at Mereda's Vogue and Petersen's Drapery. Together Mom and Dad planted, harvested and sold sweet corn.

BarDee loved to work with her hands and crocheted afghans, doilies and quilts, and always shared her raspberries with others. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as Relief Society president, in the Young Women's and Sunday School. One of her favorite callings was being a Primary teacher. Mom loved her family and was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

BarDee is survived by her children, Gail (John) Barr and James (Bonnie) Jensen of Preston, Idaho, Charmaine (Jerry) Harwood of Paris, Idaho, Kelly (Cindy) Jensen of Pocatello, Idaho, and Phillip (Michelle) Jensen of Logan, Utah; 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen Jensen of Brigham City, Utah; five sisters, Evelyn Brady of St. George, Utah, Lucille Hall of Salt Lake City, Utah, Colleen Hyer of Lewiston, Utah, Helen Lombardi of St. George, Utah, and Sharon Buttars of Franklin, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, David and Cecil Jensen; and a grandson, Tyler Hemsley.

Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 3, in the Preston 1st Ward LDS chapel, 213 S. 200 East in Preston, with President Lynn Bingham conducting. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Webb Funeral Home's new location, 1005 S. 800 East, Preston, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family atwww.webbmortuary.com.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Heritage Home and the staff there, as well as Access Hospice and Thelma Roley and Jeneil Blanch for the care they gave to BarDee.

I am sorry for their loss. Good-byes are always so much harder when we are the ones left behind. I loved the tribute to her though, she sounds like an amazing woman.
