Movie Review: " Sherlock Holmes"

Brady and I were excited for Sherlock Holmes to come out on Christmas day. We planned on going on Christmas, but ended up going on Dec. 26th.

I love Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law... They are darn cute. I love Robert Downey Jr.'s acting style, the fun and character he brings to the roles he plays. I think he is a great actor. (I loved Iron Man).

There is a lot of action, mystery and intrigue in the movie.

However, I didn't care for it. I guess I don't like mysteries or movies that drag out. Sherlock Holmes story isn't something I enjoy. I was lost through the movie... I wanted them to get on with the story line and solving the crime. I didn't think it was very upbeat... in fact I thought Sherlock was sullen, deep thinking, not an entertaining or had an up beat life.

Everyone around me loved it. It's not something I would see again.

I have to be entertained with a great story - not just action. I love Robert and Jude - but they couldn't even make me like the story. Sorry - bad review. 1/2 star out of 5...

You may like it - I just didn't.

I liked it to a certain extent. It was different but interesting. My husband has read all the Sherlock Holmes books. I asked him if Sherlock was a quirky guy in the books and he said, "yea, verily!" I took that as a yes. I really liked RDJ in Heart and Souls. He is very talented.

Connie... that is the word.. He was quirky.. You nailed it. In speaking with my Mom - she said the movie sounded exactly like the Sherlock Holmes old time series. It just wasn't what I expected.

I LOVE "Heart and Souls".. I own it and watch it often.
