Santa Claus is comin' to town.

You better watch out, you better not cry, better not pout, I'm tellin' you why; Santa Claus is comin' to town. He's making a list and check-in' it twice, gonna find out who's naughty and nice, Santa Caus is comin' to town. He sees you when your sleep-in. He knows when you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake!
Oh, you better watch out, you better not cry, better not pout, I'm tellin' you why: Santa Claus is comin' to town! ( I can barely wait - yippee!)
Have a holly jolly Christmas, it's the best time of the year. I don't know if there'll be snow, but have a cup of cheer.

Oh yeah! A cup a cheer -- Schools out for two whole weeks!! I don't think Brady can be any happier!!
There was suppose to be a huge snow storm on Thursday night. The weathermen and news casters were really talking it up! All the snow we were suppose to receive... so much that the kids may not have school on Friday.. We were waiting and prepared. We had fire wood stacked by the back door, our Christmas shopping was done as we prepared for a huge storm. Brady wanted me to check for school closures as soon as I woke up. The alarm went off and I peeked out the window for ALL of the snow that was suppose to fall....
I looked and my heart fell... Where was the snow?? There wasn't any new snow. AAaaaahhhh - I couldn't believe it!! I turned on the TV to see what our wise weatherman had to say... the storm completely missed Boise. No new snow... School was still in session... How sad...

At least it was the last day before a two week break. We got up and ready for school and work. The roads were clean and it's a Friday... Over all it was a good day! Now school is is out for 2 weeks.. We are ready for a Holly Jolly Christmas!

My Christmas shopping is done. When I got home from work, I finished wrapping all the presents.! Oh, how great it looks.. I can't hardly wait!!
I'm happy to say that I really made my budgeted Christmas money stretch. There were some great deals. I didn't go into debt and paid cash for everything out of my savings. It's a great feeling!!
Jolly old Saint Nicholas, lean your ear this way! Don't you tell a single soul what I'm going to say. Christmas Eve is coming SOON; now, you dear old man, whisper what you'll bring to me; tell me if you can! (one of my home interior pictures - I just love it).
Our stockings are hung by the chimney with care. In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon will be here. (oh shoot... I don't have a stocking for Sharon... I'd better get on that today). Mom's stocking is on the top, Brady's is in the middle and Jason's is on the bottom.

Here is the jolly guy.... another cute wall decoration I bought a couple of years ago from the D.I. for only $3.00... I love a bargain..

Our plate is ready for cookies for Santa... Oh wait... I better make some cookies this weekend!

Our advent calendars are almost complete... The time is ticking by fast... Soon it will be Christmas. I've asked Jason and Sharon to spend the night so we can open presents before they go to work at 8AM Christmas morning. I hope they come. (apparently people who purchase iPods expect someone to be on the telephone line to help when they can't figure out how to make it work on Christmas day -- Hmmmmm)

Another snow storm is forecast to hit Sunday night through the whole week. I wonder if we will get new snow... We really already have some on the ground and it WILL be a white Christmas... But we still hope for more...

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, Let is snow!, Let is snow! Let is Snow!

Although next week is a busy week with condensing all of my customers into 4 days instead of 5... the parties they want a great cleaning for.. I am sure I'll be beat. This weekend I hope to get lots of cooking done and my Christmas cards out (nope still not out).. Then we will be ready for the best day of the year...

Merry Christmas Everyone! Ho Ho Ho!

  1. I was SO GLAD that the big storm missed us because I had one driving home from college on Friday. I was so worried it was going to be a mess (it was a mess in Utah) but for the most part Idaho was clear on Friday thank goodness.
    NOW it can snow!!!!

  3. Sondra,
    You are AMAZING!!!
You have such a positive and sweet attitude and I'm so happy for you that you didn't go into debt for Christmas! (We didn't either and are having a very small one! But, that's okay -- as we're trying to focus on other things.)

Your home is lovely and the tree looks so cozy and inviting! I hope that you get a lot of snow days and peaceful and loving time at home!!! Merry Christmas!

  6. I don't believe they still sell that picture. I have had it for quite a few years - I really love it too! This year Home Interiors did not have anything worth purchasing. They really have changed to go with the more simple tastes now - too bad they don't have the same cute stuff anymore (in my opinion). Thanks for leaving a comment.

Thanks for all of the really nice comments. I've been swamped and having a tough time traveling around because of the snow covered roads.

    Merry Christmas everyone! Sondra
