Primary 5 Lesson 5

Primary 5 Manual
Lesson 5
Jospeh Smith Receives the Gold Plates

Journal Page:

Activity:
Write on metal plates.
I find writing on an aluminum can is a lot of fun, but it can be dangerous with the sharp edges. I prefer to use aluminum foil. This is what I do:
Items needed:
Aluminum foil
Cardboard - I used thin cardboard from a cereal box/cookie box out of my recycle bin.
Skewers - you could also use toothpicks if you don't have skewers on hand.
Cut card board to desired size. Cover with foil. To secure the aluminum foil on the back of the card board, I just used scotch tape.
Then the children can write on "metal plates" that are not dangerous.

I'm not one of those folks who follow blogs, nor am I into the idea of putting half your life online. . . but I have to thank you for the time you put into this. Your site is a blessing to me! You are helping many, many Primary kids (including mine!) have a better learning experience through prepared teaching. I normally don't comment on this kind of thing, but I really hope you know that you are doing a good work! Thank you. I am looking forward to poking around to see what else you have on the site besides Primary resources. Thanks again! :)
