Motivational Monday - "Treat Scriptures like a Cell Phone"

I wonder what would happen if we treated our scriptures like we treat our cell phones?

What if we carried them around in our purses or pockets?

What if we turned back to go get them if we forgot them?

What if we flipped through them several times a day?

What if we used them to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated them like we couldn’t live without them?

What if we gave them to kids as gifts?

What if we used them as we traveled?

What if we used them as a standard part of our lives AND for emergencies?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phones, we really don’t have to worry about our scriptures being disconnected because Christ already paid the bill…

From the Sugar Doodle website: (word “bible” has been replaced by “scriptures”).

From the book “Stand a Little Taller” written by President Hinckley there is this statement: “Without reservation, I promise you that if you will prayerfully read the Book of Mormon, regardless of how many times you have read it, there will come into your hearts and added measure of the Spirit of the Lord. There will come a strengthened resolution to walk in obedience to His commandments, and there will come a stronger testimony of the living reality of the Son of God
