4th of July 2010 Celebrations

Brady and I had a terrific 4th of July! It was on a Sunday, but we did manage to enjoy the festivities.
In the afternoon Brady played with smoke bombs.
He had them all lined up for a display of smoke.
Then he ran through them.
Dancing and loving all the colors. He is such a fun kid!
We only purchased a few fireworks. We had really long sparklers that lasted a long time. I really enjoyed the big sparklers.
I also gave my Primary class small sparklers for fun that day. I couldn't give a treat because it was fast Sunday so I settled on sparklers. They loved them.
Here Brady is lighting our $10 fountain.
We only had 5 fountains of different sizes. They all were really good!
This is the $3 fountain. Wonderful!

We also walked down to Storey Park and enjoyed the firework show by Meridian Speedway.
They had a live band and booths. It was lots of fun. Most of the families with children brought their fireworks to the park. There were tons.

Brady and I brought Phase 10 along and played a game while waiting for the fireworks to begin. I admit that I have not gone to the park to watch the fireworks for years - because we can watch it from our back yard. I really loved being there under the fireworks. I love the live band too!

On the way home from the firework show - I fell down. We were walking up Bower street and it was pitch black. I couldn't see a thing and I didn't like not being able to see what the street conditions were. We were walking on the side of the road in gravel and I wanted to be on the road. So I tried to find the road and all of a sudden it was a rise by at least 6 inches above the gravel (which I couldn't see). Then I went tumbling down. I was embarrassed - hating not being able to see what I was walking on - due to NO street lights. It was a bad road to be walking on. Anyway - I didn't hurt myself - only my pride. :-D

Brady and I had a wonderful day!

Grateful you had a fun 4th!!
This year was one of my favorite 4th of July's.. as it was celebrated 3 days here. We did Fireworks and had a BBQ.. Sunday the Testimonies about living in this country were spiritual and beautiful.. and just made the sabbath feel even more reverant than usual. Then.. Monday was work free.. Bqq's and more fireworks! Happy weekend indeed!

Sorry you fell.
I'm grateful you wern't hurt badly.. Maybe you need to write to the city about getting some lights!
