Who Is Your Hero?

These new "Who Is Your Hero?" posters symbolizing characters in the Book Of Mormon are fantastic. I've seen them and wanted to put a few in our home. When Jason was little they had "Momma Boys" posters. They had on it three muscular boys and said something like "mommas boys" across the bottom in reference to the Sons of Helamen. I loved them and wish I still had them. It is fun the have these valiant people to look up to and be your hero's.

I decided to get a couple of posters for Brady's rooms. These are the types of hero's I want to look up to. Of course our greatest Hero is Jesus Christ and we have pictures of him in our bedrooms - along with temple pictures. These are fun posters and I just loved these two pictures:

The first one is the The 2000 Sons of Helamen. I love these scriptures for this poster:

Alma 56: 45 And now I say unto you, my beloved brother Moroni, that never had I seen so great courage, nay, not amongst all the Nephites.

46 For as I had ever called them my sons (for they were all of them very young) even so they said unto me: Father, behold our God is with us, and he will not suffer that we should fall; then let us go forth; we would not slay our brethren if they would let us alone; therefore let us go, lest they should overpower the army of Antipus.

47 Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.

48 And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it.

The second poster is Caption Moroni and we want to be more like him. I also love his scripture:

Alma 48: 17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.

They are now framed and hanging in Brady's room. They have a little bit of "computer game character" look. I think that is why they are popular with teenagers. However you can draw the attention of a child/teenager to the true hero's is wonderful. There are many to choose from - even valiant women pictures for girls.

I re-purposed the poster frame I had in my bedroom of the Twilight movie:

Sorry Jason and Sharon.... Twilight pictures are gone from my bedroom. I just can't handle the actors and don't want to look at them anymore *wink.  Now this frame has a Hero in it.

These next pictures are for my Mom *grin....

Here is the new bed spread I purchased in December for the grand prize of $35 - woo hoo. I've been looking for a new bed spread for a LONG time - but hated the price tag. Big Lots had bed spreads in their advertisement and I decided to check it out. How can you go wrong for $35? Anyway... I love it!! Yea for bargains!

Here is a picture of the new table with the picture above it. Awesome isn't it??

I too love the hero's! I have had the older "Captain Moroni" poster in my boys room forever - I never get tired of it and since it has always been a fixture in their room I hope it is always a fixture in their mind.
Now that Taylor moved into his own room I may have to get one of these new ones - They are fabulous!!
