Hanging A Picture on the Wall

I received a new picture for Christmas from my Mother. It's huge 31 x 37 inches. I was bored Sunday afternoon and decided to hang it on the wall.
I measured the area where the nails needed to be placed and used my level to make sure everything was straight. I put the picture on the wall, put the level on it and it was straight. Woo Hoo! and in one try. Usually I have to move nails a couple of time to get it straight. I was VERY proud of myself. I walked away to take the Jesus picture that was on this wall and put it above my piano. As I was hammering the nail for the Jesus picture, I heard a CRASH!
The picture fell off the wall and broke the glass table below it. Everything crashed to the floor. I guess I didn't have the nails in the right place.
Tragic!! I couldn't believe it. I stood there stunned. The vases were broke and the glass table. The picture didn't break (thank goodness), but has a few dings on the frame.

I guess it's time to purchase a new table. I've been wanting to replace it with a wooden table with a shelf on the bottom. I guess it's time to start looking for a good deal.

The pillars will find a new home on the patio holding plants. Oh well...

I can't believe it!
That was a beautiful area and was going to be beautifully perfect!

I'm so sorry.
Enjoy looking for another table....I think.

I hate it when stuff like that happens. That's why I don't do any home repairs! LOL!

Oh Sondra! How sad! It's a beautiful picture. So, does that mean that if we have to move the nails several times that the picture will stay up?

Let us see your new table!

OH MAN.....I hate that! It does shock your system doesn't it? To bad. Glad the picture didn't get broken. That's a positive.

Good luck in your hunt for a new table/shelf...To bad it's not warmer weather, and you could hit a few garage sales.

Have a great day.

Yikes! I would have freaked out. But at least you are finding the positives...a new table...and a new purpose for the pillars.
