I've encountered my first customer whose children have swine flu. I Cloroxed their house down today.
I'm not too sure about this. I will be sad if I get sick and have to miss work.
I came home, showered and am washing the clothes and the rags I used in Clorox. Now, I'm off to scrub my house like mad.
It's just a matter of time.... So many people are sick with the swine flu. I sure don't want to be one of them!

You are brave. I probably would have told them I would have to put off cleaning until they were well.
It is SO prevalant all of a sudden. The vaccine supply for the public is not supposed to be here for a few more weeks - Yikes! I hope we can hold it off that long. Taylor had the regular 2-3 day flu (fever, body aches) for a couple days but I really do not want the swine - it is supposed to really keep you down for several weeks. Ugh!
Good luck and hope you don't get it.
I hope you don't get it! I worry about my Dr. Hubby getting it. He needs to take better care of himself...he is so hardheaded though...and I feel really silly preaching wellness to a doctor!
Oh, I hope you avoid it! It sounds like you're doing everything you can to get rid of any germ that came home with you!
Get some rest!
If anyone can avoid it.. you can!
Your so clean.. and you also don't have little kids that cough all over ya.. so you'll probably be fine.
They have started giving the vaccine here in UT. It's a nose mist. I need to get my kids in for the vaccine.. because both Tenney and Mary C are high risk...I'm not sure how to go about it.. since we don't have insurance though..
We'll all have to cross our fingers -- stock up on clorox and hope for the best!
Good luck staying away --- I know that you are doing your best to stay healthy. Did you take airborne before you went cleaning? I would have!
I sure hope you don't get it.
I'm hoping that I've been "innoculated" enough in my contact with patients in the ER.
Hope you stay well.
Actually this swine flu is an H1N1 flu, meaning it is a type A flu which is very mild and it is getting milder all the time. Chances are anyone exposed will get it since it is a new strain of flu.
Honestly more people are going to get sick and die with other flu's that go around, meaning type B and C flu.
I'm not sure if I am going to vaccinate my family for this flu since there is benefit to actually getting sick. With the spanish flu in the 1917-1919 the ones that got it early when it was mild, did not contract it when the more virulent form evolved. Vaccines don't provide that kind of protection. I'm sure we will do the regular flu shot since it covers type B flu's and sometimes type C flu's that they think will go around.
Frankly I think there is toooo much hype over this flu when there are more serious illnesses that go around every year.
Just the opinion of your friendly neighborhood nurse blogger. ;)
I hope you don't get the swine flu either. What an awful thing to catch. We had the flu at our house, but I think it was just influenza.
It is definitely sick season. Good luck!!!
First of all....I am SO making the soup below. Looks delicious!
It would come in handy if you did get sick. HOWEVER...because I'm late posting, I know you didn't!!!! That's a good thing.
